Christmas season at the southern hemisphere is always summer.
The epitome of this in popular media is Australians celebrating Christmas by hitting the beach!
But the Philippines is in the northern hemisphere of the Earth!
note: the location of the Philippines is above the equator
Why is it hot now?
Would this trend continue for the next years to come? Will Filipinos also celebrate Christmas at the beach in the future?
Speaking of beaches, did you know that:
Watch out for the other trends this past yearprivate ownership of an island does not extend to the shores[Civil Code, book II, title I, chapter 3: Art. 420. The following things are property of public dominion(1) Those intended for public use, such as roads, canals, rivers, torrents, ports and bridges constructed by the State, banks, shores, roadsteads, and others of similar character]and shores are defined as to include the beach?[Law of Waters of August 3, 1866:ARTICLE 1. The following are part of the national domain open to public use3. The Shores. By the shore is understood that space covered and uncovered by the movement of the tide. Its interior or terrestrial limit is the line reached by the highest equinoctial tides. Where the tides are not appreciable, the shore begins on the land side at the line reached by the sea during ordinary storms or tempests]
