I opened Grindr. There was a new face. Closed-up. Sepia-toned. Kissable smile. Teeth shown with braces. Cute.

I said my usual salutations, "Do you have another face pic?"

I received a photo. Same cute kissable smile but this time non-sepia and non-close-up.

"Yours?" he requested.

OPM: Gayuma

There was this gay group in grade school. They were called federacion by the other students. I do not know if it was self-styled or baptized on them. They were about 8 or 10 members. Actually, I am not sure if they consider themselves as one group. There could even be two groups or two factions within the larger federation.

Two out of three of the prominent among them became my classmates. One was tall and thin. The other was short and average. The third, whom I did not really remember well, was fat.

I did say I like Original Pinoy Music. To some extent, OPM is P-pop or Pinoy-pop.

They say music is the language of the soul. If this must be true, music should be in the native tongue of the listener for it to delve into the deepest of the soul. One could enjoy music with foreign lyrics, yes. Did it became rooted in him?
